With overnight postpartum doula services, I focus on establishing the nursing relationship, ensuring parental rest, and helping parents gain confidence in their nighttime parenting abilities so the family will thrive after the close of the doula relationship. This approach is a valuable choice for parents prioritizing breastmilk for their baby and those who want support in developing their own nighttime parenting.

With some babies, the hardest time of day isn’t actually overnight but is the evenings. Sometimes called the “witching hour,” this actually usually lasts a few hours of the evening. It is the time that is most common for cluster feeding and colic, and it happens right when parents are most tired! When you begin your overnight care earlier in the evening, I provide full-spectrum doula services which can include emotional and informational support, helping you eat a warm dinner, managing your baby’s cluster nursing, handling baby care so you can rest between feeds, or even letting you put in earplugs and head to bed while I comfort your fussing baby.

In this service, we meet weekly on a video call to talk about life parenting a baby. We can talk about your postpartum body and feelings, your baby’s needs and development, and more. You’ll get all your questions answered, along with support for the challenges of these early weeks and months. This is a great option for people who have lots of hands-on support from loved ones but who want input from someone with up-to-date, evidence-based expert knowledge on early parenting. It’s also a nice way for in-person doula clients to gently close out our time together for a few weeks after our overnights end.

Overnight doula care: $70+/hr*

Common schedules:
10pm-6am: $560/night
7:30pm-5:30am: $700/night

Virtual support:
1 hour per week, in 6 week packages: $600

Newborn education: $200/2 hrs

*Additional fees apply for twins and higher multiples, and for select travel expenses such as bridge tolls or parking fees.
